3 Things Chelsea Needs to Improve On

Chelsea have easily been the best side in the Premier League by far and find themselves at the top of the table, but there is still things for them to improve on.  If they want to win the League this year they will need to strengthen up a few areas.

1.  RB Situation

As of now Branislav Ivanovic is Chelsea's starting RB and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.  Ivanovic is a very capable defender and has played very well, but there is a huge doubt on whether or not he can keep up with EPL wingers such as Gervinho and Valencia.  This was very clear in Chelsea's match against Reading when there pacy wingers ran at the Serbian.  Chelsea needs to look at other options at right back, maybe even play Ryan Bertrand there because there his no way Ivanovic can shut down the leagues speedsters.

2.  Luiz or Cahill

John Terry is Chelsea's first choice on the back line every match, no questions asked, but who will be playing beside him is still in doubt.  The Blues have to very good options beside Terry which can be seen as a good problem.  David Luiz has the talent to be a world class defender but doesn't seem to want to stay back and Gary Cahill his almost a mirror image of a young Terry on the pitch.  Right now Cahill has to be the choice, he has looked very good in the match time he has had and he can be one of the league's best defenders and he is starting to look like Di Matteo's first choice.

3.  What to do with all the Midfielders

Chelsea look like they have gotten one of the best transfer prizes in the history of the English League with Eden Hazard and he will start every match he is fit.  Frank Lampard and Juan Mata will most of the time be by his side, but with the formation Di Matteo has used who will fill the other spots?  Ramires hasn't looked half the player he was last year and it looks like Sturridge, if he stays, might want to try out the winger role everyone at Stamford Bridge is looking for.  This all being said Chelsea just spent 25 million Euro on young Brazilian Midfielder Oscar, and he needs to start.  Di Matteo needs to play Oscar in every match and get him as many starts as he can, he is the next big thing and is a big part of his future.  I see Matteo Giving Oscar and Sturridge both starting roles and letting Mikel hang back with Lampard.

Top 5 Players in Early Premier League Play

The EPL Season is underway and some players have looked bad and some look very good, let's take a look at the Top 5 so far.

5. Mladen Petric, Fulham

Clint Dempsey is still refusing to play for Fulham, so they will need goals to come from somewhere else.  Mladen Petric is providing them with goals and keeping Fulham from sinking.  If Dempsey continues to not play he will have to continue to find the back of the net.

4.  Carlos Tevez, Manchester City

Carlos Tevez is starting to look like the old Tevez and is scoring goals, including the Equalizer that saved City  against Liverpool.  The Argentine will have a big year.

3.  Michu, Swansea City

You probably don't know who Michu is and neither did I till this year.  He is leading Swansea to victories and that's all that matters.  He also leads the League in goals with 3, and that has to get you something, right?

2.  Marouane Fellani, Everton

Marouane Fellani absolutely embarrassed the Manchester United back line, he won every single ball in the air and manhandled Carrick.  Fellani is the most dominant player in the league in the air, since Drogba has moved on and he is going to be a real star.

1.  Eden Hazard, Chelsea

This is a easy choice, Eden Hazard has taken the Premier League by storm and looks like no defender can shut him down.  He does whatever he wants on the ball and has accounted for 7 of Chelsea's 8 goals.  He is the best player in the League and he is going to have a dominate Premier League Career.

Eden Hazard Continues to Dominate as Chelsea Beats Newcastle

Chelsea took on Newcastle today in their third league match and handled them pretty easily.  Most of Chelsea's good play should be contributed to the unbelievable play of young stud Eden Hazard.  The kid once again was Chelsea's man of the match, and he continues to show that after just three games, he is the Premier League's best player.  He finished off a Penalty that was drawn by Fernando Torres's lovely play easily to grab his first Chelsea goal and set up Torres's goal with a beautiful backheel touch.  In the 3 games that Hazard has played in the League, there has not been one defender that can keep him in check, not even one that has came close.  The combination of Eden Hazard and Juan Mata has given Chelsea more possession than they have had in years.  Hazard makes Chelsea the best team in the League and he will be the main player who decides where the Premier League trophy will end up for many years to come.  If Fernando Torres continues to score goals and Chelsea's defense can keep it in "Cech", the Blues should be the favorites going through the rest of League play.

Rating Chelsea's Players in Win Over Reading.

Saying Chelsea slipped out with a lucky three points against Reading was a understatement.  Reading gave Chelsea a run for their money and showed their worth in the Premier League, but as the same with Manchester City, the better club came out on top.  Let's take a look at the ratings for all Chelsea players who took the pitch.

GK Petr Cech
Rating: 6.0

Petr Cech maybe had flashbacks against Reading when he fractured his skull in a freak accident which is why he wears the padded hat, because he wasn't the same Cech were used to.  Cech took a simple save off a free kick from Danny Guthrie and made a mess of it.  Cech is one of the worlds best goal keepers but today he didn't even look like one of the Premier League's best Goalkeepers.  Hopefully the old Cech will make his way back to his usual form.

LB Ashley Cole
Rating: 6.5

Ashley Cole is clearly the world's best Left Back at the time, but today he wasn't at top form.  He seemed to struggle with the pacy winger McClearly the whole match but Cole made several big tackles. Ashley also needs to improve going forward as Chelsea doesn't have a real winger and he is a lot of the offense on the left side of the pitch.  No question Cole will improve and be a force in the League this year.

CB John Terry
Rating: 7.0

Mr. Chelsea had a pretty average outing against Reading.  Terry was strong, as usual and dispossessed Reading many a time.  The only thing Terry needs to improve on is organizing the back line a little better.  Being a veteran Ashley Cole needs no organizing but with Ivanovic playing out of position and Cahill battling against David Luiz for the other defending role, he needs to get everyone motivated and in the right position.

CB Gary Cahill
Rating: 7.5

Gary Cahill played a very good game tonight at Stamford Bridge, he was very strong at the back and scored a masterful 30 yard goal to equalize in the second half.  The Englishman's only mistake was the header from Pavel Pogrebnyak, which honestly no one in the world could of kept out.  Gary Cahill is definitely going to give David Luiz a run for his money.

RB Branislav Ivanovic
Rating: 5.5

Yes Ivanovic added another goal to his goal tally which puts him along with his teammate Frank Lampard as scoring leaders, but let's be honest, if Eden Hazard wasn't so unselfish he wouldn't have got a shot.  Tonight's  game showed exactly why Chelsea needs to go out and get a RB.  Ivanovic is spectacular defender but he has nowhere near enough pace to keep up with wingers in the Premier League.  Look for Chelsea to be busy in the transfer market in the next ten days.

CDM John Obi Mikel
Rating: 6.0

Mikel had a pretty average game and was the obvious choice to come off for Daniel Sturridge.  He makes good tackles but he is pretty necessary on the pitch, he just isn't needed.  I would love to see Ramires play his role and give Oscar a starting role.

M Frank Lampard
Rating: 7.5

Frank Lampard played a pretty classic Lampard game.  At the rate Eden Hazard keeps drawing penalties, Lampard could be a 30 goal scorer.  He kept good possession and got the ball to Hazard at the right times, which everyone should be doing.  Lampard will have another great season on his route to become the Giggs of Chelsea.

M Juan Mata
Rating: 7.0

Juan Mata looked very dangerous in this game and played many great passes, but he doesn't look yet in last years form.  He is playing well but there is still improvements he can make.

M Ramires
Rating: 5.0

Ramires may of had the worst game for Chelsea.  He selfishly took a shot in the first half that would of been a easy tap in for Fernando Torres that probably would of sealed the game early.  The young Brazilian also made many dumb errors and passes, it looks like this very attacking role just isn't for him.  Ramires was a lot more dangerous coming from a holding midfield, that he played last year.

CAM Eden Hazard
Rating: 9.5

Eden Hazard was once again the easy pick for man of the match.  He drew a penalty once again which gave Frank Lampard a easy goal.  He looks dangerous every time he is on the ball and gets by any and every defender with ease.  Two games into the season Hazard has accounted for 5 out of 6 of Chelsea's goals.  Eden is very unselfish and looks for his teammates before he looks for goal and could have a chance to set the record for most assists in a season.  At the moment it's hard to say anyone in the Premier League is better then him.

ST Fernando Torres
Rating: 7.0

Fernando Torres looked like he did at sometimes in the Euro's, a lonely forward playing with 5 creative midfielders.  He had a masterful play when he embarrassed two defenders in the penalty box but then duffed the shot.  Torres's spirits were brought down greatly when Ramires took a shot instead of getting Torres a easy goal.  He seemed very irritated after that moment and didn't return to aggressive form he had before that.  To simply put it, all Chelsea players need to feed Torres over and over again and good things will happen.  He did however get on the scorer sheet in a controversial way, but if it gets him going I'm all for it.  Do not worry about the form of the Spaniard.

M Oscar
Rating:7.5

Oscar only got 30 minutes of playing time but he looked like a future star.  The Premier League doesn't look to big for him and I think I can speak for every Chelsea fan, that we all smiled and cheered when under performing Ramires made way for Oscar.  The kid will be good now and even better in the future.

F Daniel Sturridge
Rating: 7.0

Sturridge lacks no confidence, he also lacks no talent.  The kid can play and came on and showed his class.  He played a masterful ball to Juan Mata 60 yards across the pitch, which made everyone quiet down for a second.  The kid is a great forward coming off the bench, and will be there to pounce if Torres struggles.

M Raul Meireles
Rating: 5.0

Raul Meireles didn't play much and he didn't impress much.  It will be hard for him to find playing time.

What We Learned From Chelsea's Opening Match

Today was the first match that we saw for the new look Chelsea that actually mattered and they handled it great.  Although there was some problems Chelsea came out with a 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic.  The first goal of the match came from a lovely though ball played to Ivanovic who finished it with ease in the second minute.  Then just a few minutes later Eden Hazard drew a penalty that was then finished off by Frank Lampard in the seventh minute.  Chelsea had a few other chances including a near goal from Fernando Torres that was just cleared off the line by a Wigan defender.  Oscar the brand new signing from Chelsea made a bang when he came on the field by sliding his first shot as a Blue just outside the far post.  Chelsea's biggest problem in the match was that they didn't keep the possession that they should of had.  Against a team like Wigan Chelsea should have possession somewhere around sixty percent.  Eden Hazard impressed the most by collecting the first assist and drawing the penalty for Lampard.  Chelsea looked like potential Champions in the opener and we hope that they will continue this form.

USA vs. Mexico Recap

As a american there is no bigger football match on the schedule then a USA vs. Mexico match up.   Last nights latest installment was the biggest one in US history.  The USMNT went in to Mexico's home stadium one of the most insane places you can play, with a 0-23-1 record.  There was nobody outside of American supporters who predicted a USA win.  We had no Clint Dempsey, Carlos Bocanegra or Michael Bradley, what sane person would choose us, but being the crazy country we are, we knew our team was coming out on top.  The first half was well dominated by the Mexicans who had over 60 percent of the possession.  We went into the second half with a good result so far, a 0-0 scoreline.  This just gives us more motivation to believe in our country, until Landon Donovan seen by most the best American player was taken out.  USA continued to shut down the Mexican attack, led by Geoff Cameron and Tim Howard.  We had gotten to the 80th minute without giving up a goal which could of been seen as moral victory, but we wanted more.  Jurgen Klinsmann then made a "questionable" decision by bringing on under performing midfielder Brek Shea.  I guess he saw something we didn't as within a minute of being on the pitch Brek Shea made the only goal of the game happen by slashing through the Mexican back line and crossing the ball in to Terrence Boyd who back-heeled the ball near post where Michael Orozco Fiscal finished it off.  What we saw last night is another installment in sports where stats mean absolutely nothing and the so called "gap" between Mexico and the United States is coming oh so close.

I Feel You Drogba

5 Things We Learned Last Year From the Blues

Last year was one of the most successful years in Chelsea's history, and we finished 6th in the table.  They took home the biggest prize in the world club scene, the UEFA Champions League Title.  Chelsea's season was beyond miraculous as they were not picked by anyone to win but Chelsea supporters.  The Blues journey through the world's elite taught us a lot about the Blues.  Let's take a look at what we learned.

5.  Fernando Torres Can Still Play

If were just looking at Chelsea's Champions League run then most people might say Torres didn't contribute to much.  Two little things during there miracle run showed us that the Spainard is world class, the goal vs. Barcelona and the Possesion he grabbed at the end of the match against Bayern.  As we saw when Ashley Cole cleared a ball 60 yards that just happened to land at Fernando Torres's feet against Barca he can still embarrass goal keepers by going around them like he used to do time and time again at Liverpool.  Now only if you paid very close attention to Torres when he came on against Bayern after Thomas Mueller grabbed the lead for Munich, you would of noticed how Chelsea maybe got twice as much possession as they did in the first 80 minutes in the last 40.  Torres hold up play was excellent and actually made the Bayern defense do some defending.  He kept Bayern on their heels and was essential in getting the corner that got Didier Drogba the shining moment in his career.

4.  David Luiz Can Be the World's Best Defender

David Luiz did not play in a lot of Chelsea's Champions League run and that's why he is only 4.  David Luiz might as well be the savior to the Champions League title.  He played the defensive game of his life and actually stayed back to defend the whole game.  If Luiz can play like this every game he can easy be the world's best.  David made goal saving block again and again and shut down Bayern attacks left and right.  Also do not forget the perfect penalty he took in the penalty shootout right after Juan Mata just had his blocked.  Luiz can be the world's greatest if he chooses to defend and give up on his midfield dreams.

3.  Didier Drogba Will Be Missed

Trust me, you're not the only one who thinks this picture looks weird.  Even though Drogba is passed his prime and it was the smart move to let him go, no Chelsea fan can say they will not miss Didier Drogba.  The Ivorian Striker was the vocal point in the Chelsea attack for the last 8 years and it will be weird to not see him in a Chelsea Kit.  It wasn't made any easier to let him go after he pulled a miraculous header out of nowhere to get Chelsea to extra time against Bayern and then capped it all off by putting away the winning penalty against Manuel Neuer to bring the trophy home.  All I can say is Didier we are thankful for everything you did for us and you will be dearly missed.

2.  The Old Guard is Not Yet Done

Last Year AVB the infamous manager was fired during the middle of the season and it was in most part to his disrespectful treatment to the old players at Chelsea.  AVB practically counted Frank Lampard's career as finished, which was a huge mistake.  He also disrespected the likes of John Terry, Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda.  Chelsea has a huge amount of young talent and has a bright future, but the glue for the project of success is Frank Lampard and John Terry.  Lampard is the only person who can bring together Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Juan Mata and Fernando Torres to make it as good of a attack as Chelsea has ever had.  While John Terry is still one of the world's best defenders he needs to focus a lot of his time on making David Luiz and Gary Cahill get the most of their talents.  Chelsea's future is in the hands of young players but as of right now it still starts with the old guard.

1.  Stats and Predictions Mean Nothing

Going into the Champions League tournament anyone outside of a Chelsea supporter would not of picked them to win the world's most coveted prize.  Then they shocked Napoli with a ridiculous comeback,  they then took out Benfica in the only match up they were favorites in.  After that they come up against the most dominant club in the past 5 years, Football Club Barcelona, they have the words best player, the worlds best midfield, the worlds best defense and a attacking crew from hell, and somehow the Blues defeated them.  Then the Final came, the opposition was Germany's finest, Bayern Munich.  They had home field advantage, the worlds best winger combo, the worlds best goalkeeper, and midfield crew that was only second to Barcelona.  Chelsea shut down Bayern for the first 82 minutes until Thomas Mueller's goal looked as if the magical ride was over.  Then Didier Drogba scored well, a vintage Drogba goal with a vicious header.  The game went to extra time making Chelsea defend for 30 more minutes.  To top that off in the first period of extra time Drogba made a questionable tackle to give Arjen Robben, one of the best players in the world a chance to give Bayern the match, guess what, he didn't score.  Then to finish everything off Chelsea had to go head to head with a German club in penalties, which to put likely is almost a "guaranteed" defeat. First of all Props to Manuel Neuer, yes a goalie, for stepping up in the biggest game of his life to take a penalty when Arjen Robben was nowhere to be found.  After that it was all Chelsea who won the shootout after Cech made a great stop and somehow Bastian Schweinsteiger missed from the spot.  The Blues defeated all odds to capture the 2012 crown so now when somehow comes at you with the word impossible or a "no chance", you can now laugh in their face.

What to Expect From Chelsea in Early Premier League Play

The Premier League gets underway for the Blues this Sunday against Wigan Athletic, a game they will easily win.  Chelsea has a easy first couple games that they should win and start out on the top of the table.  These first couple match ups will give them a chance to get all there chemistry and lineup problems sorted out.  The one thing that every Chelsea supporter wants to see out of these first couple games is one thing and that is many goals from Spanish striker Fernando Torres.  Besides the RB situation this is the only question really for the Blues.  If Torres get's in form early he could become the most dangerous player in England.  Fernando was once one of the most feared strikers in all of the world while he was at Liverpool and if he can  put fear back into defenders and goalkeepers, watch out.  I see Torres scoring at least 5 goals in Chelsea's first 4 matches and that should get our season underway very nicely.

What We Learned From the Loss in the Community Shield

Yesterday afternoon Chelsea started their season in a glorified exhibition game, the community shield.  This match is contended between the Premier League Champions and the FA Cup winners.  Chelsea was defeated 3-2 at the feet of Manchester City, mostly because a red card to defender Ivanovic.  One positive thing can be brought from this game and it is very positive.  In the fortieth minute Spanish striker Fernando Torres finished a lovely ball from Ramires the Brazilian midfielder.  The goal was absolutely stunning and it looked like the old Fernando Torres, confident and smooth.  If Torres can finish goals like this he will be the Golden Boot winner in the Premier League this year.  Other goal scorers in the game include Ryan Bertrand for Chelsea and Samir Nasri, Carlos Tevez and Yaya Toure from Man City.  City did look good but the tide of this game definitely changed when Chelsea went down to 10 men.  Although this was just a exhibition both teams showed Championship form and we'll be a force to reckon with this year.

Top 10 Footballers in the World

Besides being the best club in the world, the argument for the best players is the most controversial.  We all know the best two players are Messi and Ronaldo, and with that let's look at the top 10 in the world, and Bayern fans Arjen Robben is not on the list.

10.  Zlatan Ibrahimovic | Sweden | Foward\Striker | PSG

Zlatan Ibrahimovic can be described by two words, professional scorer.  He knows how to put the ball in the back of the net and he does it with great timing.  A classy veteran and he definitely isn't finished yet.  Look out for a big year with his new club PSG.

9.  Eden Hazard | Belgium | Forward\Winger | Chelsea

Eden Hazard is a Top 3 talent, not yet proven in the EPL puts him at 9.  He is one of the best players on the ball and is magnificent at creating space for himself and his teammates.  He will score a lot of goals this year and create many for his playing mates.  Hazard will have a big first season in the Premier League, no questions asked.

8. Xavi | Spain | Midfielder | Barcelona

Xavi is the world's best at keeping possession for his team, that's why he plays for Barcelona.  His passing skills are remarkable and he is a genius from set pieces.  Look for the usual this year from Xavi Hernandez.

7.  Thiago Silva | Brazil | Defender | PSG

Surprised to see a defender on the list? If you've seen Thiago Silva play you shouldn't be.  Silva is clearly the worlds best defender and it's easy to see why.  He is a amazing athlete to have on the back line.  He combines his power and speed to seemingly make the best players in the world useless.  He is at his coolest and calmest at the most tense moments of the match, which is the best thing for a world class CB.  Silva will continue to dominate the club and international stage.

6.  Sergio Aguero | Argentina | Forward\Striker | Manchester City

Sergio Aguero's move to the Premier League last year was a great success.  He won a league title and tallied over 20 goals.  The Argentine is one of the worlds best forwards and will continue to lead Manchester City to silverware.  Look for lots of goals in years to come.

5.  Neymar | Brazil | Forward\Winger\Striker | Santos

Besides Eden Hazard, Neymar looks to be the only one to crash the Messi Ronaldo party.  He has just enough talent as anyone else in the world and will eventually become the worlds best footballer.  The only question is, when will he come to either the Premier League or La Liga?  If he continues to turn down offers from big clubs people will soon lose interest in him and it is time for him to make the move.  Neymar will most likely dominate the Brazil League again and make his move next summer.

4.  Wayne Rooney | England | Forward\Striker | Manchester United

It's easy to say besides Manchester United fans that Wayne Rooney is not well liked, but the dude can play. Besides Ronaldo and Messi he is the most lethal scorer and he makes United a whole different team.  He continues to dominate the Premier League and look for him to bag at least 20 goals a year for the next 5 years.

3.  Mesut Ozil | Germany | Midfielder | Real Madrid

Most people will tell you that most of Lionel Messi's success comes from the foot of Xavi Hernandez, but Ronaldo owes a lot of his recent success to Mesut Ozil.  Ozil is the worlds best midfielder because of a lot of reasons.  His passing skills are second to none, he creates the most ridiculous assist that no other player in the world could come up with.  He is remarkable from set pieces and any big football fan will tell you that he should be taking every free kick over Christiano Ronaldo.  Look for another amazing season for the Mesut and make sure you take to time to enjoy the future best midfielder in Germany's history.

2.  Cristiano Ronaldo | Portugal | Forward\Winger\Striker | Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest of all time.  What sucks for him is he is playing in the same era as someone who is also one of the greatest of all time.  Ronaldo is lethal in every aspect of the game, except defending.  he is the most talented "skiller" and one of the most creative finishers we have ever seen.  60 goals last year and its not unlikely that he'll top that.

1.  Lionel Messi | Argentina | Forward\Striker | Barcelona

Messi is the worlds best and there is no argument against that.  No one can match his trophy case.  He scored for Barcelona, except against Chelsea and he brings them the silverware. He will own every scoring record there ever was.  Messi has dominated the game ever since he has came on to the scene.  He will win more golden boots, more Champions League Titles and more La Liga Titles.  The only thing left for him to do is lead Argentina to a World Cup Victory.  Messi will continue to dominate the world until the Brazilian Neymar decides to make his move to glory.

What Victor Moses Would Bring to Chelsea

Chelsea has spent a lot of money in the transfer market and they could still be opening the checkbook.  One player big on Chelsea's profile is Wigan Athletic's Forward Victor Moses.  Moses is a great young player with a lot of potential.  The Nigerian has great technique when it comes to finishing and is also a spectacular athlete.  Moses has scored 8 goals with his time with Wigan, which is probably due from his below par team.  With already Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel a fellow Nigeria international practically begging for the move it looks like chemistry wouldn't be a problem.  Moses is kind of a unknown talent, but with Torres still not being fully proven and Daniel Sturridge complaining about playing time, grabbing another forward wouldn't be so bad.  Moses will not be that expensive and will pay off greatly in Chelsea's future.

Top 5 Blues Going Into Next Season

Besides maybe PSG, Chelsea might have the most intriguing season coming up.  Chelsea has made many changes and signings in the off season and will be a whole different team this year.  The club still has many great veterans and tons of great young talent, let's take a look at which players in the squad will have the best season.

5.  David Luiz

David Luiz will finally get his chance to be a full time starter as it looks like he will be starting alongside John Terry to start the season.  David Luiz can be the worlds best defender if he chooses to want to.  With tendencies to drift forward and try to play forward he has been seen as a liability but it looks like he is finally learning how to attack when he is needed.  If he plays like he did in the Champions League Final he will be one of if not the best defender in the Premier League.

4.  Juan Mata

There was only one player who impressed during Chelsea's regular season play last year, that was Juan Mata.  Last year was Juan's first year in the EPL after a move from Spain's Valencia the summer before and he looked like he was a 10 year veteran.  Mata looked more comfortable than any Blue and his playing style fits perfectly in England.  He ended the season with 6 goals and 13 assist, very good first year numbers.  Next year these numbers could increase greatly as he becomes one of England's best.

3.  Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard is without a doubt one of the greatest Chelsea players of all time, he is also what makes it all still go.  In every preseason match for Chelsea this summer the team has looked lost, unless Frank Lampard is on the pitch.  He is one of the worlds most deadly finishers and has a lethal shot from everywhere in the attacking third.  With Didier Drogba gone Lampard will most likely take every set piece, which is a blessing in disguise for any fan.  Lampard should be Chelsea's 1st Captain but it doesn't look like he ever will be.  He might not net 20 goals like the old Lampard but he is there Leader and will bring everything together this year.

2.  Fernando Torres

Fernando Torres has one a Champions League Title, a World Cup, a Euro title and a Euro Golden Boot.  This year his eyes will be set on a Premier League title and a Premier League Golden Boot, he is capable of both.  No one has ever questioned Torres's talent, they have only questioned his Mental strength.  With most of the goal scoring responsibility on him this year he better be head strong.  He certainly returned to form at the end of last season heading into the Euro.  Look for Torres to score at least 20 goals and lead Chelsea to glory.

1.  Eden Hazard

Chelsea brought home the biggest prize in the Transfer Market this summer, Lille Midfielder Eden Hazard.  He certainly didn't disappoint in Chelsea's preseason matches.  He is one of the best dribblers in the world, he has a knack for finding assist almost every match and is a lethal goal scoring threat.  Add all this to his ridiculous speed he could be the best player in the Premier League by the end of the season.  The pressure doesn't look like it is affecting him at all and Hazard may be one of the first players in a long time to score 20 goals and assist 20 goals.

Olympic Final Preview

The Men's soccer Olympic Final is set.  The Brazilians will face off against the Mexicans.  It is very clear that Brazil are the favorites in this showdown.  With players such as Neymar, Hulk and Oscar why wouldn't they be.  Neymar is also in great scoring form which is also going to make it hard on the Mexico side.  The only well known Mexican player is Giovanni Dos Santos who is a premier league player.  With Brazil having the best football program ever and never having a shortage on talent it will be very hard for there to be a Cinderella story here.  There is a good chance that this game will be a blowout and not even a contest but seeing as it is a Olympic Final the match will be played tight and tense.  The only way this match will be loose is if Neymar get's on the wing and goes one on one against a defender.  Look for a slow paced game until a goal is scored then anything can happen.

Time: August 11 ---- 10 a.m.

Prediction: Brazil 3-1 Over Mexico

Messi or Ronaldo?

There's no question the battle for the best player in the world comes down to two players, Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.  No one is really even close in the conversation.  Both play football out of their minds and score a ridiculous amount of goals.  Let's take a look at both players and decide who is truly the best.

Christiano Ronaldo
Club: Real Madrid
Age: 27
Position: Forward/Winger
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 186 LBS
Most Ridiculous Stat: 112 Goals in 101 Appearances for Real Madrid

Christiano Ronaldo was a prodigy from Day 1 and was bought with 80 million Euros from Manchester United when he was already a star, and amazing enough he was worth every single penny.  His finishing is second to none and he possesses amazing skill on the ball.  He creates his own skill moves which is the sign of a real star.  He is one of the best Free Kick takers in the world and possesses great heading ability.  His only down falls are that he goes down way to easy and doesn't have a defensive bone in his body.

Lionel Messi
Club: FC Barcelona
Age: 25
Position: Forward/Striker
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 147 LBS
Most Ridiculous Stat: Scoring 79 goals and having 29 assists in the 2011-2012 season.

Messi is by most seen as the best player.  He scores on almost every good attempt he gets and creates unbelievable goals.  Messi is a human highlight reel.  He has the best scoring record maybe besides Pele.  The only down fall to Messi's game is that most people think that he can't score without Xavi and Iniesta who are two of the best midfielders in the world.

Winner: Lionel Messi

Sorry Ronaldo fan boys but is undeniable that Messi is the best.  He is one of the smallest players in the world and yet the most dangerous.  No one is more consistent and he has proved every doubt about him wrong.  The greatest talent in football history and maybe the Future greatest of all time.

Daniel Sturridge Can Ruin All of Chelsea's Hopes

Daniel Sturridge is representing Great Britain right now at the Olympics, but that looks like it's not the only thing on his mind.  Sturridge recently stated he wants the starting Center Forward spot at Stamford Bridge.  That is the worst possible thing the Englishman can say right now.  I don't doubt that he can score goals and play very well but Fernando Torres at his best is on a whole other level than Sturridge.  Daniel also kills the team chemistry with his shot happy style.  Sturridge can be a great backup, one of the best in the world, but he will never be a superstar forward like he thinks he will. Sturridge keep your mouth shut and let Torres come back to form.

Top 5 Players in the Premier League

During the off-season of the Premier League there isn't much to talk about, other than big transfer news and predictions.  Well let's take a look at the 5 players that will have the biggest seasons this year.

5. David Silva

No one impressed more this year during the Euro 2012 tournament than David Silva.  He clearly looked like the leader on the Spanish team, and it will be exactly the same for Man City.  He is there best footballer and he is one of the top assist man in the EPL, look for a big year out of the Spaniard.

4. Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker may be one of the paciest players in the Premier League, he also is quite a good defender.  He started to come in to his own last year, even smashing one of the best free kicks in the whole world last year.  He will become a elite defender in the Premier League and he will also be quite deadly from set pieces.

3. Clint Dempsey

Most people see last season for Clint Dempsey a one hit wonder, but for the American it is far from that.  He  looked as if he was going to Liverpool or Arsenal but it Fulham is looking to hold on to the Texan.  Just because someone is from USA doesn't mean they can't score goals in the EPL and Dempsey will prove that once again next year by netting more goals then he did last campaign.

2. Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard is the talk of the Premier League and he has looked extremely comfortable playing in Chelsea's Starting XI.  He will be a star immediately and will be Chelsea's best player.  He will lead the team in assist and may only trail Fernando Torres in goals.  This kid is special, and will be ruin the Messi, Ronaldo party in the coming years. Watch out.

1. Shinji Kagawa

Manchester United makes a big signing and it's under the radar? What? That's what has been going on for a player who has already proved he can play top flight football.  Shinji Kagawa may not be as good as Hazard next year, but the fact that no one is talking about him or United works out great in his favor.  Look out for this man he is here to play.

Oscar Was the Best Signing by Chelsea

Eden Hazard might become the best player in the world, or he might not.  The one thing that is clear is that Oscar will be a star. With the price tag of 25 million euro, he will be a steal.  Oscar has all the talent that Kaka another great Brazilian midfielder had.  He is just as good of a passer and far better with his dribbling skills.  At the age of 20 Oscar could be a future Chelsea legend, such as the likes of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.  There is no doubt that is Brazilian's talents will translate to the tough EPL play.  When watching Oscar you notice the better the talent the more he steps his game up.  Playing behind Frank Lampard for 2 seasons will be the best thing Oscar could of asked for, he will learn to play the position from the Englishman and Lampard will then pass the torch to him.  Maybe Oscar won't dominate or even be that good next season, but he will be the best signing from the summer in the long run.
